    I bought this composter to use in my kitchen for my scraps. I never really thought about smells from the composter because I didn't intend to allow it to sit for more than a day before emptying it. Well, things happen and the scraps were forgotten about for over a month. There were NO smells coming from it at all (not until I took the lid off anyway!). I was very impressed with that.
    It is a very heavy duty composter and has a very sturdy handle to carry it with.
    There is really only one thing I do not like about it. I bought the composting bags to go along with it, but once you put the bags in and start filling it up, it's very difficult to get the bag out without ripping it because of the tapered sides. I ended up giving up on the bags, so I just have to rinse the composter out every time I empty it.

    Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
